You need to worry less about news like this. They need to sell new stuff… so any issues will be reported so they can sell more… I’m so happy with my Pixel 6, and every day I’m learning new things about it. Everything to reduce the time spent on tasks.

tried in my Pixel 6. Worked fine.

If it works .. and you are already satisfied.
JUST NEVER UPDATE! this is rule #1 then you enter the smartphone world.

Anonymous, 13 hours agoIt’s ridiculous… but all the other companies do the same shit. Samsung, Apple, Google, etc. moreMaybe, but I’d rather pay half the price for a premium phone, even if it’s from OnePlus, Realme or Xiaomi. To pay a premium, you expect a premium product.

Uh? I’m on the latest update and it works fine on my pixel 6 pro

This wouldn’t be a problem for me as I barely update my apps unless they force me to like Chase, Dasher and Vons. But that doesn’t look good for Google given that the Pixel 6/6 Pro with Android 12 already had bugs. Google is ruining its reputation with every new software update and new Pixel.

Review the scores of every Pixel flagship ever created

Pixel/XL: 4.5

Pixel 2/2XL: 4.6

Pixel 3: 4.4
Pixel 3 XL: 4.5

Pixel 4/4 XL: 3.7

Pixel 5: 4.3

Pixel 6/6 Pro: 4.0

Pixel really hit its peak with the 2. I am a Pixel 3 fan though. I think this generation was the best even with the hideous notch of 3 XL. The non-XL 3 looks like the black 2 XL but smaller and no LG display issues like blue lag.

Plan to get a 128GB Pixel 2 XL Panda/Penguin/Stormtrooper for $70 off Craigslist. Just to use it as a third wheel behind my Razr 5G and my Flip 3. Again, 2 XL panda is still at the pinnacle of Pixel design. It looks good rocker Air Jordan 12 Taxi.

One of the biggest company in the world.
Impossible to update their own service without breaking their own device, which was specially designed to rely on these.
They don’t bother to test…
This is also why I don’t rely on stock apps.

This is also one of the things I hate about object oriented programming, supposedly it makes things easier to update/maintain, but it also eases the breaks and pain of finding which dependency will break or remember the hard way, when you least expect it, that you didn’t think to specify that two things that procedural programming would naturally have allowed to work together, weren’t specified to be allowed to work together despite anyone expecting that to be the logical thing to do and shouldn’t be mandatory…

These days, Google seems to focus on censorship and diversity of woke searches, rather than good code.

It’s comical at this point. Looks like I dodged a bullet by not getting the Pixel 6 Pro. Christ!

It would actually drastically reduce the need for a microSD card (not for me but for avid photographers).

It’s best not to update anything on pixel 6 or else Google keeps breaking it.
