C-DAC collaborates with the young scientists laboratory of the DRDO – Punekar News
Pune, September 23, 2021: Promotion of research in quantum technologies, the Center for the Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) Pune and the DRDO Young Scientist Laboratory- Quantum Technologies (DYSL-QT) recently signed a protocol of ‘agreement (MoU).
“Collaboration would strengthen innovations and foster excellence in shared research, harnessing the potential of quantum technologies. The two organizations will present pilot projects for the realization of a comprehensive program on quantum computing, which would greatly benefit the country, ”said the press release issued by C-DAC.
“This tool will be useful for students to learn the practical aspects of quantum simulation, algorithms and programming. C-DAC and DYSL-QT will co-develop various quantum algorithms in strategic areas of Defense applications. This collaboration should lead to the development of innovative solutions for the advancement of the country, ”he added.
The MoU was signed by Colonel Asheet Kumar Nath (retired), Director General (I / C), C-DAC and Santu Sardar, Director, DYSL-QT, in the virtual presence of Sudhir Kamath, Director General , Micro Electronic Devices, Computational Systems and Cyber Systems (MED & CoS) and leading scientists in the field of quantum computing. DYSL-QT is one of five DRDO YSL (Young Scientist Laboratories) dedicated to the nation by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
C-DAC is an autonomous scientific society under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technologies (MeitY).
