“Be quiet!”; Fox co-hosts attack people with student loans as ‘lazy’

GERALDO RIVERA (CO-HOST): I think the whole area of student loans needs to be redesigned along the lines that we’ve been talking about. Children earn too much money. They get money to sit on their asses and have fun for four years. This is – seriously. And the colleges give the professors, you know, seven, eight hundred thousand dollars in salaries. You know, it got obscene. But I think you need reform — limit how much a child can borrow. You have to make sure that no — that there is competitive pricing, rates, and that you have to clear bankruptcy. You must authorize the bankruptcy.
DANA PERINO (CO-HOST): And make good decisions.
…
JEANINE PIRRO (CO-HOST): Here’s the gist. You have a contract. You have a contract with the person who lent you the money. If you can’t pay, that’s your problem. Get a job like everyone else. Do you want to serve people? I have an idea. Why don’t you do people a favor like veterans who commit suicide, who don’t have a home to live in? And then we relied on big organizations like Tunnels to Towers to make these tiny homes, these smart homes for veterans. And then, you know, we have seniors living on fixed incomes when inflation is higher than it has been in 40 years. So these lazy kids want to see their — want to see their loan forgiven, it’s nonsense. Pay off your fucking loan, get a job and shut up.
