Dubai, United Arab Emirates: The Arab Youth Center and Injazat, the UAE’s local technology champion for digital transformation, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to prepare young leaders in the fields of cutting-edge and artificial intelligence, in addition to providing distinguished talents with training opportunities to harness technology to shape a better future.
H.E. Shamma bint Suhail Al Mazrui, UAE Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Vice President of the Arab Youth Center, and H.E. Mansoor Al Mansoori, Chairman of Injazat, signed the agreement during a ceremony during GITEX Global Technology Week 2022.
In accordance with the agreement, the two parties will cooperate to prepare young Arab leaders specialized in the fields of artificial intelligence, technological innovation and machine learning. This collaboration includes the organization of sessions, workshops and meetings with experts in technology, focusing on the development of young talents and providing a platform for the training and development of Arab youth in the fields advanced technology, especially artificial intelligence applications, programming, cybersecurity and smart applications.
Technology as the future of work and innovation for young people
HE Al Mazrui pointed out that the future of work for young people will be based on technology and its applications at individual, institutional, governmental and state levels, as statistics show that 136 billion dollars have been invested globally in the year last in cloud computing, $110 billion in Web 3.0, and $5 billion in industrial-scale machine learning.*
“Strategic partnerships accelerate the achievement of youth empowerment policy goals in various areas of machine learning, cloud computing, quantum computing and other vital sectors that provide competitive opportunities for young people , societies and economies of the future. We affirm our commitment to facilitating the learning, training and exploration of new work horizons for young talents and promising skills, in particular in areas of interest such as advanced technologies, artificial intelligence applications, digital and knowledge economy, said HE Shamma Al Mazrui.
Employment and training opportunities
The MoU also includes opportunities for networking and exploring the latest innovations in artificial intelligence and programming, particularly the Python programming language. It will also provide a one-month paid internship opportunity for five participants, while enabling exceptional talent, with innovative solutions to the Middle East’s most pressing challenges, to meet business experts and personnel from HR to review future employment opportunities.
