Apple TV+ Announces New True Crime Series “The Big Conn”
Apple TV+ has spotlighted “The Big Conn,” a new four-part documentary series that tells the incredible true story of larger-than-life lawyer Eric C. Conn, who defrauded the government of more than half a billion dollars in the largest social network. Cases of security fraud in history. All four parts of the series will premiere alongside a companion Apple TV+ Original podcast that will further explore Conn’s scam and scandalous lifestyle with additional interviews and behind-the-scenes details. “The Big Conn” series and podcast will make their worldwide debut on May 5 on Apple TV+ and Apple Podcasts, respectively.
Created by filmmakers James Lee Hernandez and Brian Lazarte, “The Big Conn” is produced by FunMeter ($McMillion), with Hernandez, Lazarte and Peter King serving as executive producers. Co-executive produced by Matt Kaye and Shannon Pence.
“The Big Conn” will make its world debut at SXSW with a screening of the series’ first two episodes on Wednesday, March 16 at the Paramount Theater, followed by a Q&A with writer/directors James Lee Hernandez and Brian Lazarte. And the audio series will be part of Apple TV+ Original podcasts currently playing on Apple Podcasts, including “The Line,” “Wild Things: Siegfried & Roy,” “Hooked” and “The Problem With Jon Stewart,” as well as official companion podcasts.
