Amrita University to hold a coding competition exclusively for women. Interior details – Edexlive
Amrita Vishwa Vidhyapeetham has launched a competitive programming competition called AlgoQueen to encourage coding for girls across the country. The AlgoQueen Coding Competition aims to stimulate the culture of competitive programming and coding among female students.
As part of this initiative, Amrita will be running a series of contests sponsored by Amazon Web Services, IBM Q and JetBrains. During the first two trimesters, students will participate in a
Online exam series consisting of four sets of questions based on C, C ++, Java and Python followed by an on-site series depending on the pandemic situation. Questionnaires will be created only by female engineering students at Amrita and will be open to all female students in Indian schools in teams of no more than two members.
A series of online workshops will be offered to encourage students to gain self-confidence before the competition. Through this process, participants will have the opportunity to benefit from the mentorship of some of the best minds in this space. The competition will take place on a third-party site called Competitive Drills Contests and participating students can start their preparation for the competition immediately by visiting codedrills.io.
The last day for registration is December 2021 and the competition will take place in January 2022 with exciting prizes for the top performing teams. AlgoQueen is led by ICPC and will be hosted by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham in conjunction with Mindler Sponsored by Amazon Web Services (AWS), IBM Q, Jet brains.
Free crash JEE course and practical test
Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham offers a free JEE crash course for 30 days. All aspiring engineers in classes +2 and +1 can register for a JEE preliminary test scheduled for November 27 and 28. This will be a one hour test with no negative scores.
Several time slots are available, making it easier for students to attend at a time that suits them. The examination program will be based on physics, chemistry and mathematics. The top 1000 students will be offered a 30-day Crash JEE course given by the experts for free. The winners will also receive gifts and certificates.
Students can take the practice exam led by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham every Sunday at 4 p.m.
