a day of high-tech scans, cameras and new looks
SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Rocket guard Armoni Brooks collapsed into a nondescript gray 30-foot-long trailer parked across from the team’s hotel in downtown Sacramento.
Inside, two men ushered Brooks into a darkened room, where 78 DSLR cameras arranged vertically in four rings all pointed at a single chair. After Brooks draped a gown around his shoulders and sat down, the cameras closed around him like a cage. A hydraulic platform lifted Brooks so his eyes were level with the second camera ring, a high-tech throne with 360-degree monitoring to capture every wrinkle and expression.
